At the advice of a contractor, we called Penn Valley Engineering because our floors were not level and were sinking. The engineer came out within a few days and... read more did an inspection of our house and followed up with a written report that was very detailed and explained everything so that we could understand what was going on. It turned out that the columns in the basement were sinking and the main floor beam was too small for the house and it needed to be replaced. Greg recommended replacing the floor beam with a new one and replacing the columns with new ones and new concrete footings, so we ordered the plans and received them back in about a week or so and we hired a contractor to do the work. Our floors are nice and even now. I would hire Penn Valley Engineering again without any hesitation, they really helped us every step of the way. Thank you! Debbie

I spoke with Brad and he explained the process, was very kind and understanding about our timeline, and did his best to accommodate us. Greg was the structural engineer who came out and he was very professional and knowledgeable, he caught a lot of things we hadn’t noticed. Penn Valley got us our report back in a timely manner as well and later on, after purchasing the home when we decided to get some of the problems fixed, they got us plans to get the work done within the timeframe we were quoted - which was a few weeks.
