As such, I tend to find houses with structural problems and I have asked Penn Valley to provide me with reports which have enabled me to make accurate and informed decisions before I commit to anything. It is worth every penny to learn about houses from a structural engineer who will walk through the entire property and tell you their honest opinion about every square inch. Then they provided me with a report that contained a general overview and specifics about the key areas of concern and with this I was able to obtain quotes from contractors. I did this all before committing to anything with the sellers so I don't have any surprises and that is the only way to make an investment and not just speculate.

At the actual inspection, Greg walked me through every detail of the structural issues of the house and the potential remedies, and even pointed out a couple of other things the general home inspector had missed. After the inspection, Brad called me right away to go over what we'd learned and make sure I understood what we needed to do with the information with regard to negotiating with the seller. Brad knew we were under a time crunch, so they both went above and beyond to get our report to us ASAP.
